IHA is seeking a NICU nurse for our Level II NICU in Mason City, Iowa. You will provide specialized newborn care within the multidisciplinary team, using standard nursing processes and professional standards.
The role focuses on well and ill newborns who may require neonatal intensive care, with floating assignments to Birth Center and Pediatrics as needed. Night shifts are available within a 10-bed unit dedicated to safety and compassionate care.
Our Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) has 10 beds and provides advanced, specialized support for newborns who need additional monitoring or intermediate‑level care, allowing families to remain together within the same unit. Together, these features reflect our commitment to safety, compassion, and high‑quality maternal and newborn care.
This position accepts the responsibility and accountability for the delivery of patient care with the multidisciplinary team while using the nursing process and maintaining professional nursing standards. NICU Nurse is specifically responsible for the care of the well and ill newborn who may require neonatal intensive care services. Birth Center and Pediatrics are considered "sister" units and staff float are expected to float between these units.

Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Previous experience in well or ill newborn, and / or obstetric care and / or acute care preferred.
