Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC seeks an RN specialized in Neonatal ICU for a 13-week nights contract in Lafayette, LA. The role supports NICU teams, provides direct patient care using the Nursing Process, and collaborates with multidisciplinary staff.

Requires an RN license in Louisiana, BLS, and NRP; Associates degree required with Bachelor's preferred. Two years NICU experience; shift is Nights 12 hours, 3 days per week. Onsite employment with competitive weekly pay and stipends.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient care using the Nursing Process.
  • Assess learning needs and educate patients and families.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to manage nursing resources.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety practices.
  • Lead and support the nursing team on the unit.

This job is considered a leader in the provision of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN effectively delegates, directs and assists licensed and ancillary team members; assumes accountability for quality patient outcomes; exhibits sensitivity to cultural, ethnic and religious diversity in all interactions; maintains involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and the department s strategic goals and objectives and demonstrates professional responsibility and accountability for his/her own practice and supports Ochsner s philosophy of nursing.

Education Required

Certifications Required
  • Current State of Louisiana RN License.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certificate (NRP)
  • Preferred -Certification in clinical specialty area
