RN - New Graduate Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care (PACU) - Multiple Shifts - (UAB0019B)

Compensation: Pay Range: $28.38- $46.17 / hour. Multiple Shifts Available:

UAB Medicine supports work/life balance with shifts on this unit:

  • Full-Time AM: 3 12-hour shifts per week (11:00am-11:00pm)
  • Full-Time PM: 3 12-hour shifts per week (7:00pm-7:00am)

Job Responsibilities:

Utilize the nursing process to care for and counsel individuals, promoting health and preventing illness and injury. Use systematic critical-thinking to gather data, assess, judge, intervene, and evaluate responses to health issues through activities like health teaching, counseling, and life-supportive care. Identify patient needs using the AACN Synergy Model. Delegate, coordinate, and manage all aspects of nursing care efficiently and effectively, collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare team members, under the supervision of licensed physicians, psychologists, podiatrists, and dentists.

Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited Nursing program required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. Work experience may NOT substitute for educational requirements. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an RN by the Alabama Board of Nursing. BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment. ACLS and PALS certifications may be required depending on the unit/department.
