Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN)

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality patient care and ensures positive patient outcomes through compassionate and efficient nursing practices. Working under general supervision, this role promotes professional nursing by coordinating patient care via the nursing process and multidisciplinary collaboration.

1. Reviews patient needs and conditions to provide appropriate nursing care in the assigned unit, ensuring each patient receives necessary direct care.
2. Analyzes patient information, including medical history, diagnostic results, and current condition, to develop individualized care plans.
3. Prepares nursing processes such as medication administration and treatments to deliver comprehensive patient care.
4. Reconciles medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
5. Evaluates patient responses to interventions and identifies additional actions needed to meet care goals.
6. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure effective care planning.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

• Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Experience:

• Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
• Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or other national nursing organizations

Licensure/Certification:

• Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
• BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
