Qualifications

  • Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks required for nursing duties.

  • Provide care to patients with complex traumatic injuries and medical diagnoses.
  • Support community and other ICUs at Mercy.

About NTICU:

NTICU is a highly specialized team providing care to patients with complex traumatic injuries, medical diagnoses, and neurologic or neuro-surgical emergencies requiring critical care. While primarily focused on Trauma and Neuro / Neuro-Surgical cases, we also care for other critical conditions, supporting our community and other ICUs at Mercy, fostering continuous learning and growth in nursing practice.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
  • Licensure: Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state or through compact licensure, meeting all state board requirements
  • Physical requirements/demands:
    • Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds regularly
    • Prolonged standing and walking each shift
    • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion within 30 days of hire
