GENERAL OVERVIEW:

The Registered Nurse assesses human responses and plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for individuals or families. The nurse is fully responsible for all actions as a licensed professional and is accountable for the quality of care provided.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides leadership in a professional practice setting.
  • Contributes to team success through role modeling and mentoring.
  • Delegates tasks based on patient needs and staff skill levels, including duties during charge roles.
  • Maintains a safe environment, considering patient condition and intervention complexity.
  • Provides feedback to peers on clinical practice and performance.

  • Participates in interdisciplinary teams to evaluate care and health services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance
  • Current PA RN license or multi-state license via eNLC
  • CPR certification

Preferred:

  • Specialty certification
