Job summary

Scripps Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neuro Step-Down Unit at Scripps Mercy Hospital, Hillcrest, San Diego. This full-time role features a 12-hour day shift schedule, across variable days including holidays and weekends, with a 72-hour per pay period workload.

The ideal candidate holds a CA RN license, at least 1 year of RN experience (6 months inpatient), and BLS/ACLS certification. You will join a collaborative team dedicated to compassionate, high-quality patient care and

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with CA license.
• One year RN experience, 6 months in inpatient environment.
• Current American Heart Association BLS & ACLS certification.
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
• Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on the Neuro Step-Down Unit.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
• Participate in training and education to support clinical excellence.

This position is eligible for New Hires and Relocation Incentives up to $7k.

• Internal candidates
• Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
• Must remain in original department/specialty
• Must remain in original Job Title
• Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in the offer letter.

Required Qualifications:

• Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing
• Current CA RN License
• One (1) year of RN experience, 6 months in Inpatient environment
• Current American Heart Association, Healthcare Provider, BLS & ACLS Certification
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English
• Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors

Preferred Qualifications:

• Six (6) months of RN experience in Stepdown
• NIHSS certification
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
