Job summary

Ochsner Health in New Orleans, LA seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in an epilepsy monitoring/step-down unit. Responsibilities include using the Nursing Process, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to drive patient outcomes.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS, and a willingness to grow into leadership roles. Sign-on bonus and relocation support are available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• RN with current license in the state of practice.
• Preferred AS or BSN in nursing.
• BLS certification required; clinical specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the Nursing Process to deliver patient care.
• Assess learning needs and teach diverse patients and families.
• Delegate and manage nursing team resources on Interdisciplinary Team.
• Use data to evaluate and promote care improvements.
• Promote patient and staff satisfaction and professional nursing.
