Job Summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Level One Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU / Neuroscience ICU). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a Magnet®-designated, academic teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center.

Unit Overview – Neuro Surgical ICU

• 20-bed Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NsICU)
• Provides care for critically ill adult patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions
• Patient population includes individuals with:
• Acute, life-threatening neurological injuries
• Post-operative neurosurgical needs
• Chronic and progressive neurological diseases requiring stabilization and intensive monitoring
• High-acuity, high-variety patient mix offering robust clinical learning opportunities

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse, oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Secure patient travel. Know about patient needs in healthcare. Help patients and prevent issues. Follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies.

• A deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards, as well as procedures.
• Know nursing laws, rules, standards, and guidelines in your area. Understand hospital procedures and rules.
