Job summary

Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Neuro ICU team. This full-time position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualifying candidates with ICU experience.

Open shifts are 7:00pm–7:00am with a 1:2 patient ratio. The hospital provides relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, a strong nurse governance model, and opportunities for professional growth within Baylor Scott & White Health.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
• RN – Registered Nurse with ICU experience.
• BLS – Basic Life Support, required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for Neuro ICU patients (non-trauma neurosurgical cases, strokes, spine, neurovascular surgeries).
• Maintain patient safety and deliver evidence-based nursing care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Support unit leadership and participate in shared governance initiatives.

Neuro ICU

Patient Population: Non‑trauma neurosurgical patients, Strokes, specialized spine, Neurovascular surgeries, and seizures.

Patient Ratios: 1:2

Department Specifics: 15 Beds, Certified Comprehensive Stroke facility, Unit based practice council, Onsite nurse practitioners, stroke coordinators and educator. Leadership team with "all hands-on deck".
