Job summary

Miller Children's Hospital in Long Beach, part of MemorialCare Health System, is seeking an RN for the Neonatal and Pediatric Critical Care Float Unit. The role covers complex neonatal and pediatric critical care in a fast-paced, 12-hour day shift.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years NICU/PICU experience, CA RN license, and BSN; CPR/NRP/PALS certifications. The position offers a $10,000 signing bonus external hires and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of NICU or PICU experience in an acute care setting.
• Active California RN licensure is required.
• CPR, NRP and PALS certifications are required or in process.
• BSN degree required unless waived by NEC review.
• Approved nursing program accreditation per NEC is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, cost-effective patient care using the nursing process.
• Work within the Neonatal/Pediatric Critical Care Float Unit according to standards.

Status:Full-time

Shift:Days 0700-1930 (12hr shifts)

Pay Range*: $50.74/hr - $77.79/hr

Bonus: $10,000 signing bonus available to external hires new to MHS employment, contingent upon satisfaction of employment requirements.

Position Summary

The RN, Registered Nurse 12-Hr provides safe, cost-effective patient care through the health experience, according to established standards utilizing the nursing process, within the scope of practice of Registered Nursing, for the Neonatal/Pediatric Critical Care Float Unit at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Qualifications

Qualifications/Work Experience:

• The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of current nursing experience in NICU or PICU in an acute care hospital.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

• A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in California is required.
• A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR & AED) certification
• A current American Heart Association NRP certification
• A current American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is also required unless waived by Nurse Executive Council review.
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program unless otherwise approved by the Nursing Executive Council (NEC). Approved accrediting bodies include: ACEN and CCNE others must be approved by NEC
