Job summary

MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Neonatal and Pediatric Critical Care Float Unit in Long Beach, CA. This full-time night shift (1900-0730) offers a competitive pay range and a $20,000 signing bonus for external hires, contingent on employment requirements.

The RN will provide safe, cost-effective patient care using the nursing process, with ACS NICU/PICU experience preferred, and must hold California RN licensure along with BLS, NRP, and PALS

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years nursing experience in NICU or PICU in an acute care hospital.
• Active California RN license is required.
• BSN required unless waived by Nurse Executive Council review.
• Current BLS CPR AED, NRP, and PALS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• The RN provides safe, cost-effective patient care through the nursing process for the Neonatal/Pediatric Critical Care Float Unit.
• Placement in the pay range may include additional compensation such as shift differentials and bonuses.

Shift: Night 1900-0730 (12hr shifts)

Pay Range*: $50.00/hr - $74.98/hr

Bonus: $20,000

signing bonus available to external hires new to MHS employment, contingent upon satisfaction of employment requirements.

Position Summary

The RN, Registered Nurse 12-Hr provides safe, cost-effective patient care through the health experience, according to established standards utilizing the nursing process, within the scope of practice of Registered Nursing, for the Neonatal/Pediatric Critical Care Float Unit at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience

• The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of nursing experience in NICU or PICU in an acute care hospital.

Education/Licensure/Certification

• A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in California is required.
• A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR & AED) certification
• A current American Heart Association NRP certification
• A current American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is also required unless waived by Nurse Executive Council review.
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program unless otherwise approved by the Nursing Executive Council (NEC). Approved accrediting bodies include: ACEN and CCNE others must be approved by NEC
