Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a Disease Specialty Coordinator for Neonatal Services in the Pediatric Emergency Department. This role builds a disease-specific network with community and affiliate hospitals and ensures compliance with certification requirements while collaborating with accreditation leadership.

The position emphasizes education, evidence-based protocols, and ongoing outcomes tracking to improve care for acute neonatal conditions and post-discharge follow-up

Qualifications

• Experience in Neonatal and OB.
• Registered Nurse license or RN credential.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains a disease/population specific network with community and outlying hospitals and referring physicians; focuses on VUMC Affiliate Hospitals.
• Ensures certification/licensing requirements are maintained in partnership with leadership and accreditation teams.
• Develops protocols aligned with national guidelines and supports health professional education/training.
• Facilitates Continuum of Care through community education and follow-up of discharged patients; tracks outcomes.
