Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the Medical Group Garrity OBGYN Clinic. This role covers Nampa, Ontario, Meridian OBGYN as well as Boise & Nampa MFM, delivering skilled nursing care and patient education.

The ideal candidate will have an Idaho RN license, BLS, and strong communication skills, with ambulatory care experience preferred. This position is part-time/per-diem, located in the Nampa area with hospital-affiliated support.

• Oregon license proof within six months of starting.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required at hire.
• NST certification preferred or obtain within 1 year of hire.

We are seeking to hire a PRN Registered Nurse for our Medical Group -Garrity OBGYN Clinic! This role will cover Nampa, Ontario and Meridian OBGYN as well as Boise & Nampa MFM.

As an RN in the Saint Alphonsus Medical Group, you will provide skilled nursing care in coordination with licensed providers while promoting a positive patient experience with compassion and kindness. You will administer medications, maintain a safe nursing area, and provide education and resources to patients and families based on their needs. RN's are also expected to serve as a mentor to clinical staff, maintain accurate documentation, and preserve confidential information.

About This Position:

Located next to our medical center just off the I-84 and Garrity exit, this clinic offers specialized OBGYN care to the greater Nampa area. From routine exams to reproductive health care, we care for women's health from late adolescence through adulthood.

General Requirements:

• Nursing experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing strongly preferred.

License/Certification:

• Colleague must have an RN license in the state of Idaho issued prior to hire date.

• Colleague hired into this role must provide licensure or proof of application in the State of Oregon within six months of starting

• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk .

• Nonstress Test (NST) certification highly preferred, or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Meets health system's Guiding Behaviors and Caring Standards including interpersonal communication and professional conduct expectations.

• Demonstrates skilled technical nursing care under the direction of a provider or RN.

• Performs and documents comprehensive physical and psychological assessments.

• Educates patients based on assessment of needs

• Assists provider with diagnostic/therapeutic procedures, assuring in a safe, clean, competent manner/environment. Assists with patient assessment in coordination with a licensed provider.

• Maintains a clean, safe, well-stocked nursing area, including patient examination room.

• Maintains a complete, accurate, and legible patient medical record.

• Obtains continuing education to maintain clinical expertise and RN clinical ladder.

• Prepares, administers and evaluates the effectiveness of medications.

• Provides clinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or per provider instructions.

• Assists provider with examinations and treatments.

• Administers oral, rectal, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and Z-Track medications.Intravenous medications after I.V. course.Allergens administered only under the direction of a provider.

• Documents patient care observations and activities according to professional standards.

• Aids in identifying methods of improving patient care.

• Assists or leads in emergency situations.

• Maintains a clean, well-stocked patient care area, observing aseptic techniques and other regulatory mandates, i.e. OSHA, CLIA, etc.

• Maintains confidentiality regarding patient and business functions of the organization, i.e. HIPPA.

• Routes billing information as appropriate.
