Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an experienced RN for a 13-week MS Tele assignment in New York. Days shift, 12-hour shifts. Must hold an active nursing license with at least 2 years in Med/Surg/Tele.

BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; PALS due to pediatric admissions over 5 years old. Role focuses on assessing patient needs, coordinating care, and creating individualized care plans including discharge planning. Responsibilities include medication administration, infection control, and effective communication

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition and nursing needs.
• Coordinate nursing care activities with other health disciplines involved in the treatment effort.
• Develop a written individualized care plan which includes teaching needs and discharge planning.
• Administer direct care when professional nursing skills and judgment are necessary.
• Administer medication.
• Practice infection control and maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Assume responsibility and accountability for the delivery of nursing care to all assigned patients.
• Communicate changes in patient condition and questions regarding patient care to Charge RN/Clinician.
• Develop and maintain a current written plan of care for assigned patients.
• Set priorities to meet patient needs and goals with patient/family.
• Provide documented evidence in the medical record of patient/family teaching and responses.
• Ensure patient education aligns with physician instructions.
• Communicate and work effectively with other staff and departments.
• Participate in unit/hospital quality assurance activities.
