Cynet Health is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry for a 13-week assignment in New Haven, CT. The role covers adult and geriatric patients, mainly post-operative care, with an average census of about 24.

This night shift (12 hours) requires at least 2 years of RN experience, an active license, and BLS. You will float within scope, care for central lines and dysrhythmias, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team; travel experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Care for adult and geriatric patients in MS/Telemetry.
• Post-operative care including vascular and podiatry cases.
• Manage overflow from orthopedic, ENT, and general surgeries.
• Respond to rapid response and code events.
• Telehealth management as part of care.
• Collaborate with IV teams, PT, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
• Coordinate with social and interpretation services.
• Work every other weekend; first-time travelers accepted.

Description:Seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry.The role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients.The average daily census is 24 patients with a focus on post-operative care, including vascular and podiatry procedures.Occasional overflow patients from orthopedic, ENT, and general surgeries will also be managed.Nurses will handle a variety of cases including tracheostomies, chest tubes, central lines, alcohol withdrawal, diabetes, and kidney disease/dialysis patients.Experience with rapid response and code teams is essential.Telehealth management is a key component of this role.Interdisciplinary support is available, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.Collaboration with social services and interpretation services will also be expected.Teamwork is crucial for effective patient care.Every other weekend coverage is required.First-time travelers are accepted.
