Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Previous experience as an RN in an acute care setting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, patients, their family/designated care partner(s), and other staff.
• Integrates Evidence-Based Practice, clinical expertise, patient and family preferences for delivery of optimal healthcare.
• Partners with patients and families in identifying learning needs and providing education that is useful and understandable.
• Minimizes risk of harm by following established nursing practices and protocols.
• Uses information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error and support ethical decision making.
• Monitors outcomes of care and uses improvement methods to test changes for quality and safety.
• Functions effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams with open communication and mutual respect.
• Recognizes patients and families in providing safe, compassionate and coordinated care.
• Creates an environment of belonging and inclusion with problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Demonstrates commitment to learning and acts in a primary preceptor role where appropriate.
• Participates in hospital- and practice-based committees, including safety and quality improvement.
• Seeks feedback and integrates changes into practice.
