Job summary

Responsibilities include patient teaching, collaboration with the care team, and contributing to initiatives that improve outcomes. Requires BLS, NRP within 6 months, RN license and ADN or RN Diploma.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.

• RN license is required to practice.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Mother/Baby nurses care for the mother and baby couplet from delivery through dismissal from the hospital. This population includesnewborns and adolescent through middle-aged women (typically aged 14-50). Mother/Baby nurses provide care using ongoingassessments, interventions and evaluation of interventions (i.e. the nursing process) and is responsible for the plan of care. Emphasis isplaced on patient teaching, critical thinking skills and promoting maternal/newborn bonding.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
