Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited nursing program.
• BSN within five years of hire or transfer to RN role.
• Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age-specific needs.
• Interpersonal and communication skills to establish collegial relationships and care with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes patient information.
• Develops, implements, evaluates and revises an individualized plan of care.
• Uses teach back methodology to educate patient and family.
• Actively ensures HIPAA compliance and patient privacy.
• Communicates patient status, goals and interventions during rounds and handoffs.
• Adheres to Mission, Vision and Values of Saint Joseph Mercy Hospitals.
