ARMStaffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in Charlotte, NC. The role requires 2+ years in L&D and couplet care, with RN licensure NC/Compact, and obstetric certifications.

The position offers night shifts (3x12s) and the opportunity to care for laboring mothers and newborns in a low-risk LDRP unit, including intraoperative and PACU responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery and Couplet Care.
• Current RN license (NC or Compact) required.
• Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to labor and delivery patients and newborns.
• Perform assessments, monitoring, and interventions during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
• Administer medications including anticoagulants, antihypertensives, and pain management therapies.
• Perform neonatal assessments and support APGAR scoring and circumcision care.
• Circulate in the OR for cesarean deliveries and provide PACU recovery care.
• Use fetal monitoring and triage obstetrical patients.
• Support breastfeeding and newborn education for parents.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery, as well as couplet care or LDRP. The ideal candidate should be comfortable providing care for both laboring mothers and newborns. The unit operates as a low-risk LDRP facility, focusing on comprehensive maternal and neonatal care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to labor and delivery patients and their newborns.
• Conduct assessments, monitoring, and interventions during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
• Administer medications including anticoagulants, antihypertensives, and pain management therapies.
• Perform neonatal assessments and provide care such as APGAR scoring and circumcision assistance.
• Circulate in the operating room for cesarean deliveries and provide recovery care in PACU.
• Utilize fetal monitoring and perform triage of obstetrical patients.
• Support breastfeeding and newborn care education for parents.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery and Couplet Care.
• Current RN license (NC or Compact) required.
• Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP.
• Experience with IV therapy and fetal monitoring is essential.
