Job summary

AdventHealth in Colorado is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a night shift in the Mother Baby unit. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized care plans while administering medications per physician orders.

Strong communication with patients and staff is essential to promote safety and outcomes. Minimum 1 year of Mother Baby hospital experience is required; RN licensure and BLS are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Associate's of Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's of Nursing is preferred.
• 1 year Mother Baby hospital experience required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, regularly evaluating and revising as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.

Job Description:

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Ability to work as a Team player within a unit
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills
• EKG (based on patient ; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements)
• Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills)
• Basic computer skills - must be able to navigate Microsoft windows-based programs
• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]

Work Experience:

• A minimum of 1 year of Mother Baby Hospital experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:
