Job description

Join the LDRP group at Mercy South - a collaborative team of RNs seeking to add a PRN coworker for postpartum mothers and their newborns. The ideal candidate has experience in Women's Health and/or Mother Baby.

Schedule: 7p-7:30am, Nights.

Shift Requirement: Three shifts in 6 weeks, including one on a weekend, and 2 holidays.

Our Patients
  • Well babies born over 35 weeks gestation
  • Vaginal and C-Section Deliveries and Postpartum care
What We Do
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide evidence-based care
  • Assist in deliveries to provide transitional newborn care
  • Educate patients on postpartum care for their infants and themselves
Our Floor
  • 12-bed LDRP unit
  • 1:3 or 1:4 nurse-to-couple ratio
  • OB Hospitalist available 24/7
  • Neonatal Nurse Practitioner on-site 24/7

Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program
  • Licensure: Current RN license in the state or compact license, meeting all state board requirements
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand and walk for prolonged periods, and perform physical tasks
  • Certifications: BLS through AHA required; additional certifications such as ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, or others may be required based on the unit
