Job summary

The position requires 0-1 year of nursing experience, an active MA RN license, and an Associate's degree with a preference for a Bachelor's in Nursing.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's preferred.
• Experience: 0-1 year of clinical nursing experience required.
• Licenses & Certifications: Current RN License in Massachusetts required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients via daily telephone triage and Gateway messages.
• Assist in triage of symptom management and medical urgencies/emergencies.
• Monitor patients at home for anticipated chemotherapy/surgery/radiation-associated toxicities.
• Coordinate home services including visiting nursing and palliative care.
• Perform blood draws and routine flushing and maintenance of central lines.
• Document injections and vaccinations per protocol.
• Assist with outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Educate patients and families about their disease and treatment plan.
• Provide assistance with disability forms and pre-authorizations.
• Assess psychosocial needs of patients and families.

What You'll Do
