The RN Metro Float Pool PRN assumes responsibility for managing and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process. As part of the pool, this position will be required to float to various units and may participate in on-call status. This position requires population-specific competencies and adherence to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact.

The RN Metro Float Pool PRN position is a PRN role and must adhere to the System Float Pool guidelines.

Qualifications
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oklahoma or a current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member
  • Minimum of 2 years RN patient care experience
  • Current BLS certification upon hire, or completion within 30 days of hire
  • Current ACLS, PALS, or NRP certification based on competency level or completion within 90 days of hire
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Must operate a personal vehicle (non-INTEGRIS owned) with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Additional qualifications are required for specialty area assignments, such as Critical Care, Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, Surgical Services, Behavioral Health, Rehab, or others. Experience and competency validation will occur prior to placement in these areas.
  • Department-specific competencies will be completed during orientation
  • Must follow Metro Float Pool guidelines and be willing to float to various units regularly
  • No secondary job code in this position

  • Implementation of patient care interventions
  • Evaluation of patient care effectiveness
  • Supervising and coordinating care delegation to licensed and non-licensed personnel
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to staff and students
  • Maintaining a safe physical environment
