Job summary

McCallum Place Eating Disorder Centers in Missouri is hiring for a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join our caring team. You will assess, plan, implement, and document patient care, including medical and behavioral health needs, while maintaining standards and collaborating with physicians and families.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current RN or LPN license as required by the state of employment.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral/substance abuse nursing a plus.
• CPR, de-escalation and restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required per state/facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about conditions.
• Provide nursing care within nursing practice standards and facility policies.
• Ensure physicians’ orders are transcribed accurately.
• Monitor patient status and document changes.
• Notify physicians of significant changes in status or emergencies.
• Complete initial nursing treatment plans on admission.
• Demonstrate universal precautions in direct patient care.
• Accurately administer medications per orders.
• Document controlled substance counts as required.
• Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently.
• Maintain therapeutic rapport with patients and staff.
