This job acts as a leader in patient care, using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. Responsibilities include delegating, directing, and assisting team members; ensuring quality patient outcomes; demonstrating cultural sensitivity; and supporting departmental goals.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school (Required). Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred).
  • Current RN license in the state of practice (Required).
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (Required).
  • Certification in a clinical specialty area (Preferred).

Skills include proficiency with computers, effective communication, interpersonal skills, organizational ability, and good judgment.

Responsibilities include using the nursing process, assessing learning needs, communicating and delegating within the team, utilizing data for quality improvement, respecting patient diversity, and performing other duties as assigned.

The role requires physical activity, including exerting force and exposure to blood, body fluids, and potential communicable diseases. Compliance with all legal and safety standards is mandatory.
