Job summary

A US-based healthcare staffing firm is seeking a Registered Nurse for a telemetry role in Charlotte, NC. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage telemetry patients and interpret cardiac rhythms.
  • Administer medications including cardiac drips and IVs.
  • Coordinate care within the nursing team and support critical staffing.

  • Surgeries - CABG, AVR/MVR, Lobectomy, Thoracotomy, Venous Lysis, Embolectomy, Thrombectomy, AAA, Amputations, Vascular bypasses, Fasciotomies, EVAR, TEVAR, CEA/TECAR, TAVR, Cardiac Cath pre/post, Esophagectomy
  • Common Diagnoses - Endocarditis, Mitral valve disease, Aortic/ Carotid Stenosis, Adenocarcinoma, Aortic Dissection, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Chest pain, CAD, Heart Failure, PAD, Cellulitis
  • RN: 1:4-5, Critical staffing would be 1:6
  • Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

  • Medication gtt management to include - Cardiac Drips (titrating and non-titrating), Heparin, Angiomax, Argatroban, blood products, IVF
  • Support within the Department:
  • Charge nurse, 24/7 – may or may not have patients
  • Phlebotomy – peripheral blood draws only
  • IV/VAT Team
  • Resource Nurse – as available
  • RT, 24/7
  • Hospitalist, 24/7
  • Intensivist, 24/7
