Job summary

Mercy is seeking an experienced RN to join our clinical team. This role utilizes the nursing process to deliver patient care, ensuring accountability and coordinating with other departments to achieve optimal outcomes.

Maintains patient rights and confidentiality while aligning with Mercy Service Standards. The ideal candidate will hold an RN license in the hiring state (or compact licensure) and have a proactive approach to care, safety, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Maintain RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Certifications: BLS; Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) may be required.
• Physical requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand/walk during shift.

Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Position Details

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Preferred Experience: +1 year RN

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe:
  • OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
