Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a staff nurse to provide care across the patient lifecycle, applying nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. You will work within policies, coordinate care with assigned staff, and uphold standards to assure quality outcomes.

Sign-on bonus available. RN licensure in Georgia, BCLS, and a recognized nursing program graduation are required, with additional certifications varying by unit. New graduates may be eligible for certain roles.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program is required
• Bachelor's degree is preferred
• RN licensure in Georgia (or NLC/eNCL) required
• BCLS certification required
• ACLS/PALS/other certifications may be required depending on unit

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes (assess, plan, implement, evaluate)
• Coordinate the care activities of all assigned staff to ensure quality patient care
• Adhere to organizational policies and standards of practice and demonstrate professional growth and accountability

The nurse maintains standards of practice and coordinates patient care activities of all assigned staff to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (Required)
• Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Work Experience

• No experience required (New graduates of a nursing program eligible) – Required
• Nursing experience in a hospital setting (Preferred)
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

• RN – Registered Nurse – mandatory Georgia State licensure or NLC/eNCL multicast license (Required)
• BCLS – Basic Life Support (Required)
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)

Addendum

• Cardiac Tele: Mandatory ACLS certification (must be achieved within 180 days)
• Critical Care: Mandatory ACLS certification (must be achieved within 180 days)
• Dialysis: Certified Dialysis (CDN) preferred
• Emergency Department: Mandatory ACLS and PALS certification (must be achieved within 180 days)
• Infusion/Oncology: Mandatory Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification prior to independent administration (Required upon hire)
• Pediatrics: Mandatory PALS certification and, where applicable, PEARS or PALS certification – must be achieved within 180 days
• Surgical Services: Mandatory PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU ACLS; PALS if unit serves pediatrics – must be achieved within 180 days. BLS required within 180 days.
• Women’s Services: Mandatory Labor and Delivery ACLS, NRP, and other newborn certifications – must be achieved within 180 days.
