Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a dedicated registered nurse for the Nephrology/Urology Unit in Athens, GA. Full-time daytime schedule from 7am to 7pm with a sign-on bonus available.

The staff nurse will deliver comprehensive nursing care across the patient lifecycle, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and uphold high standards of practice in a supportive work environment on the Nephrology/Urology unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
• Georgia RN licensure and current BCLS certification.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes.
• Maintain standards of practice and coordinate patient care among assigned staff.

Med Surg 4: Nephrology-Urology Unit

Full-time Days 7am-7pm

The Nephrology/Urology Unit provides exceptional care for our fellow community members who require Hemodialysis and/or specialized urological care. All nurses hired to our unit will become trained in Peritoneal Dialysis, the only hospital in Athens to provide this service. Our Nurses work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide patient centered care. The Nephrology/Urology Unit is comprised of multiple skill levels with the support of experienced charge nurses and an energetic clinical manager. It is important to have a unit council with all disciplines to assist in making unit based decisions to give the best patient care possible. Responsibilities

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Work Experience

• No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible Required
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
