Job summary

USPI South Texas Specialty Hospital in San Antonio, TX is seeking a motivated RN Med/Surg Nights to join our Post-Surgical Unit. The unit provides post-surgical care for orthopedic and spine procedures across a 25-bed unit with dedicated ORs and ER support.

The RN will plan, direct, coordinate patient care per standards, maintain safety and compliance with The Joint Commission and state regulations, and participate in medical screening exams as delegated.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• At least one (1) year experience as an RN in hospital Medical/Surgical or ICU.
• RN, current in the State of Texas.
• BLS, ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement nursing care for post-surgical patients.
• Ensure high quality and safe delivery of patient care per standards and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to patients and provide Medical Screening Exam as delegated by Medical Executive Committee.

USPI South Texas Specialty Hospital is seeking a motivated RN Med/Surg Nights to join our team . We have 25 Beds and 8 OR rooms and 3 ER Rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedic, Spine.

Job Summary: The Post Surgical Unit RN / MED-SURG RN has the responsibility to plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the post-surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. He/she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care, maintains compliance with professional nursing, The Joint Commission, and all Federal and State standards of care. The Post Surgical Unit RN is assigned to respond to patients presenting to facility with a healthcare need and will provide the Medical Screening Exam as delegated by the Medical Executive Committee.
