Job summary

Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center is seeking an Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced acute care setting. You will conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required are 6 months of acute care experience, an active CA RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. The role emphasizes patient advocacy, critical thinking, and timely, evidence-based care

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications are required/preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evidence-based nursing care to achieve health outcomes; organize and prioritize patient care with patient comfort in mind.
• Complete patient assessments and identify needs across physical, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, discharge, and cultural domains.
• Develop and update individualized care plans with measurable goals and family involvement; coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Implement interventions per care plans; manage age-appropriate needs and use equipment per policies.
• Reassess after interventions and update the care plan accordingly.

• Provides effective, comprehensive evidence based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes. Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient. Collaborates with other disciplines to insure comprehensive, holistic and effective plan of care. Applies knowledge of current practice standards, guidelines, statutes, rules and regulations. Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior and supports ethical practice by addressing or escalating issues. Serves as a patient advocate.
• Completes patient assessments competently. Assesses for and identifies needs of unit-specific patient population: Assesses for and identifies any physical, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, discharge and cultural needs.
• Completes an individualized plan of care based on assessment of the patient. Coordinates with other disciplines when indicated. Prioritizes care needs and sets measurable goals and time frames. Includes patient and family in the planning.
• Implements interventions based on nursing and medical plan of care. Manages patient population, diagnosis and age specific needs through appropriate adaptation of interventions. Appropriately utilizes equipment and supplies (including following established policies, procedures and protocols governing the transport, handling and storage of intravenous fluids).
• After implementation, reassesses the patient to verify effectiveness of interventions. Updates the plan of care to reflect current care needs.
