We are seeking qualified candidates for the RN Medical Surgical Nights role at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System Pulaski.
Job Description
Under the supervision of the Head Nurse, the RN demonstrates proficiency in administering nursing fundamentals, contributes to assessments and care plans, and participates in evaluating nursing care. Responsibilities include managing care for individual patients or an entire patient population.

Essential Functions
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, document findings, and note changes.
- Develop and review care plans, involving patients and families in planning.
- Implement care plans safely and effectively, communicating with the healthcare team and providing patient education.
- Respond appropriately in emergencies and evaluate patient responses to care.
Leadership and Professional Development
- Support nursing standards and supervise nonprofessional staff.
- Participate in conferences, peer reviews, and ongoing education, including a minimum of 10 hours annually.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Minimum six months of recent professional nursing experience.
- Active RN license in TN or a compact state, with intent to obtain TN license within 30 days.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications or obtain within 90 days of hire.
