Job summary

Watertown Regional Medical Center, part of ScionHealth, is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) on the Medical/Surgical team. The 36-hour-per-week night shift (1900–0700) includes weekend and holiday rotation. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is offered. New graduates welcome.

The RN will provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and ensuring standards of practice are met in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current state RN license or compact state license.
• BLS/ACLS/CPI per facility policy.
• Specialty certifications preferred.
• Minimum 6 months Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive assessments and reassessments to determine nursing care needs.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates plans of care.
• Administers medications and treatments per policy and orders.
• Documents assessments, interventions, outcomes, and education.
• Provides ADLs, hygiene, nutrition, mobility support.
• Monitors patient conditions and communicates changes to the care team.
• Discharge planning and referrals coordination.
• Provides emotional and psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Ensures patient safety via infection control and fall prevention.
• Supervises and delegates tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff.
