Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical 6 East unit in Boston, MA. The role emphasizes patient-centered care within a Magnet® recognized organization that values professional practice and community health.

The RN will deliver comprehensive bedside care, collaborate with an inter-professional team, and participate in ongoing training and career development.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN license required.
• 1+ year RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required in some units.
• Nursing degree: Diploma/ASN/BSN preferred; BSN encouraged.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical unit from assessment to education.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies of BMC's nursing organization.
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
