Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an RN for the 9A Medical-Surgical unit to provide comprehensive nursing care for medically complex patients. You will perform assessments, implement plans of care, document care, and collaborate with physicians, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

The role offers a sign-on bonus of $10,000 for external applicants with 1 year or more commitment, and a 24-bed high-acuity unit focused on teamwork and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
• Education: High School Diploma/GED and Associate's Degree in Nursing

Responsibilities

• Performs all unit-specific nursing duties.
• Conducts initial patient assessments and develops care plans.
• Documents nursing care accurately for the health team.
• Delivers meds following the 5 Rights process: patient, medication, route, dose, time.
• Communicates with care team to ensure patient safety and timely care.
