Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical unit to deliver high-quality nursing care following hospital policies and standards. You will assess patients, implement care plans, and educate patients and families as part of the care team.

Daily shift is Days, with a 72-hour biweekly schedule. Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold an active Michigan RN license; ACLS/PALS/TNCC/ENPC may be required by the department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience in specialty area will be considered and may be required to maintain competency.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• ACLS required within six months of hire.
• PALS, TNCC and ENPC within one year for Emergency Department.
• NRP within one year for the OB Department.
• Preferred: one year of professional nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assesses each assigned patient, documents and evaluates their response to plan of care, and takes appropriate corrective action.
• Plans and implements the patient’s plan of care/standard of care and provides patient teaching using the plan of care/standard of care.
• Oversees all ancillary personnel for technical tasks.
