Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, part of Saint Luke’s Health System, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical Observation Unit. You will work nights in a 3×12-hr shift schedule, coordinating care with the multidisciplinary team and supporting floor nurses with a strong emphasis on safety and documentation.

Identifies hospital resources. Serves as a clinical resource for new employees. Demonstrates positive formal or informal leadership within unit or department.The Opportunity:Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Observation Unit. As an experienced RN on this team, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patient care processes, conditions, and diagnoses. This position will give you the opportunity to learn and expand your nursing skills. You will be supported by leading technology and our virtual nurse team who will provide assistance for floor nurses with oversight, education, documentation, and monitoring to ensure the patients receive exceptional care.Shift Details: This position is Full Time Nights (3, 12-hr shifts per week)The Work:Function independently and accountable for utilizing the nursing processCoordinate the care for a group of patients with the Multidisciplinary TeamPerforms patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staffCoordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomesDemonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.
