An established industry player is seeking dedicated nursing professionals to join their Medical ICU team. Shift: Two 12 hour Weekend Day Shifts per week (Sat & Sun)

Salary Range: $34.46 - $51.02, based on experience
ABOUT THE JOB
This position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by utilizing strong organizational andleadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms, and develop andimplement patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
This position may be required to access and administer medications within their scope of practice and according to statelaw.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
Assesses the patient's condition and nursing needs, sets goals, and prescribes appropriate nursing actions to meet thosegoals and the physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs of the patient, including discharge planning.
Assesses, intervenes, and reassesses the patient's self-report/symptoms of pain promptly. Utilizes an appropriate tool for
assessment and reassessment (0-10 numerical scale, FACES, or the FLACC.)
Demonstrates an understanding of medications with regards to action and side effects. Reports pertinent information toappropriate individual. Educates patients and significant others about their medications.
Demonstrates the ability to evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions in accomplishing goals and intended patientcare outcomes.
Maintain the standards of nursing care and implements the policies and procedures of the hospital and assigned nursingunit.
Participates in meetings, in-services, and quality and performance improvement groups. Full understanding of theattendance and punctuality guidelines, andadhere to the dress code.
Reports pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to the appropriate person (i.e. physicians, head nurse,
charge nurse, and/or nursing supervisor) and records those observations accurately and concisely.
Provides quality care to patients and work with multi-disciplinary team to ensure the highest patient satisfaction.
May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes,compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.
Two (2) years of acute care and/or operating room RN experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonableaccommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is veryactive and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs.This role also routinely comes in contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses.
This position is in a healthcare facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather
will be required.
