Job summary

Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Med/Surg in a hospital setting to provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process and uphold patient rights and confidentiality.

You will evaluate care effectiveness, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with clinical standards while driving positive outcomes and compassionate, evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN licensure in Missouri or compact license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred hospital or specialty-area experience; additional certifications viewed favorably.

Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg in a hospital setting, responsible for providing patient care using the nursing process, evaluating care effectiveness, coordinating with departments, and ensuring patient rights and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care, maintain professional accountability, evaluate and improve patient outcomes, and collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care in accordance with standards and values.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate, Diploma, or BSN), current RN licensure in Missouri or compact license, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Preferred experience in hospital or specialty areas, with additional certifications and licensure viewed favorably.

Skills & Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as gripping, reaching, and bending required to deliver patient care.
