WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Medical Surgical Nurse a for a 13-week contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Meadville, PA. Travelers can earn up to $2,200 per week for this role.

Job Function

• Night Shift.
• 3x12.
• Prepares and administers prescribed medications (orally, subcutaneously, or via IV) and accurately documents their administration.
• Reports any adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with policies and nursing standards.
• Educates patients about surgical procedures and their care plans.
• Records patients’ medical information and vital signs accurately.
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment, interpreting and recording electronic displays as needed.
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Current State RN license or willingness to obtain.
• 1-2 years of acute care experience in this specialty.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
