UW Medical Center-Northwest is seeking a registered nurse for medical-surgical care on a unit addressing behavioral health needs. The role involves a rotating days/nights schedule and 36 hours per week across 3x12 shifts.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent medical-surgical RN work experience.
• Active BLS certification.
• Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical-surgical care to behavioral health patients.
• Ensure patient safety protocols are followed, including restraint protocols.
• Administer oral and injectable medications.
• Monitor vital signs using telemetry equipment.
• Assess and manage pain.
• Provide education and discharge instructions to patients and their families.
• Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect.
