Position: RN - Med/Surg Unit - Evening/Night Shift

Position Title: Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Unit

Location: Upland Hills Health - Dodgeville Hospital Campus

Role & Department: Registered Nurse on the Medical/Surgical Unit

Hours & Shift: Part-time (.75 FTE) evening/night shift position, 12 hour scheduled shifts with shift times of 6 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., every 5th weekend and alternating holidays

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assess the needs of each patient assigned
  • Plan the nursing care and follow through with that care plan
  • Care for the patient including the evaluation of spiritual, emotional, and physiological needs
  • Provide oversight of subordinate personnel in the care of the patients
  • Engage in professional growth through continuing education, in-services, participation in professional organizations, and involvement in health promotional activities

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Must be licensed and hold a current registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin or in the process of becoming licensed
  • Current BLS certification
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • Prior clinical experience is preferred, but not essential
  • The ideal candidate will be willing to cross-train to other nursing departments to assist as needed
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior EPIC knowledge is beneficial

Employment Bonus: This position is eligible for up to a $5,000.00 Employment Bonus, prorated based on the FTE. Bonus payments will be made based on the FTE schedule below:

  • 1.0 FTE - $5,000
  • .9 FTE - $4,500
  • .8 FTE - $4,000
  • .7 FTE - $3,500
  • .6 FTE - $3,000
  • .5 FTE - $2,500

The Employment Bonus will be paid out at set times during the first 3 years of employment in 6 separate equal installments. Bonus payments will be made after completion of 6 months, 1 year, 18 months, 2 years, 30 months, and a final payment at the 3-year anniversary. This Employment Bonus will be paid for Registered Nurse positions hired at a .5 FTE employment status or greater. The Registered Nurse must continue to be employed at a .5 FTE status or greater at the time each of the bonus payments are due to be eligible to receive them.
