Job summary

HCA Healthcare’s Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to assess, plan, implement and coordinate patient care in the 4 South Medical/Surgical Trauma unit. You will collaborate with patients, families, and the health care team to achieve positive outcomes.

The role requires a Nursing degree from an accredited program, current RN license in Florida (or compact state), BLS certification, and at least 6 months of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Must be licensed as an RN in the state where you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
• A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross BLS Health Care Provider is required.
• At least 6 months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accountability for assigned patients.
• Manage flow of patient care including exam prep, nursing care, admissions, testing and discharges.
• Maintain and review patient records including tests and results.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans.
• Respond to and refer incoming calls (including triage when needed).
