Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health – Lake Pointe Rowlett is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our 3 West Medical Surgical unit. The role supports high-acuity patients on a fast-paced team, with 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratios and a 32-bed unit.

Full-time Nights, BSN preferred and TX RN license required. You will assess patients, create and adjust care plans, educate patients, and collaborate with clinicians to deliver safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• RN License active in Texas.
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg/Telemetry RN experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or by hire/within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed clinical assessments and develop/adjust care plans.
• Educate patients and families, fostering understanding of health needs.
• Coordinate with care teams to ensure safety, effectiveness, and quality of care.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Lake Pointe in Rowlett, TX is a community-based hospital with all the benefits of an urban medical center due to the specialties we offer to the community which is uncommon for this size facility. Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse, oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Secure patient travel. Know about patient needs in healthcare. Help patients and prevent issues. Follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies.
