Job summary

Cambridge Health Alliance in Cambridge, MA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Med/Surg 4 West. Med Surg 4 is a 32-bed adult medical surgical telemetry unit where care is delivered in collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.

The role supports a 36-hour week with day/night shifts and rotating weekends. The RN provides care per Nursing Standards of Care, demonstrating initiative and clinical skill to manage patients with complex needs.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Current MA RN license.
• AHA BLS certification preferred.
• 2 years Med/Surg RN experience preferred.
• Telemetry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide patient care per Nursing Standards of Care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team.
• Directly report to a nurse manager or clinical manager.

We provide care for a diverse patient population including GI, cardiovascular, and respiratory illnesses. We deliver care with an emphasis on assessment, education, prevention, maintenance, and restoration of health in a supportive and culturally

The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for patients in accordance with established Nursing Standards of Care. They will demonstrate initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for the patient with complex needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates the ability to effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of nursing care and directly reports to a designated nurse manager, clinical manager, or off shift manager.
