Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks skilled registered nurses for 3 East, a 29-bed medical-surgical/telemetry unit focused on cardiac care and patient education. The schedule is 32 hours per week; shifts 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

with every other weekend and holiday rotation. Applicants must hold a Massachusetts RN license, have prior telemetry or med-surg experience, BLS, and continuing education credits. Preference given to those with BSN and ACLS; nurses may be floated to other areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN License.
• Evidence of Continuing Education.
• Med Surg experience preferred.
• Current Telemetry experience or able to pass Telemetry Competency Exam within 90 days of beginning position.
• Current AHA BLS Certification.
• Communicates effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the 3 East unit.
• Monitor telemetry and educate patients about their condition.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and discharge planning.

UNIT DESCRIPTION

3 East is a 29 bed medical surgical/telemetry unit . 3EB is a focus unit for cardiac and medical patients who have a need for cardiac monitoring, education about their illness, treatment health restoration, and maintenance.

Preference will be given, by seniority, to those qualified nurses who were serially displaced within the 18 months following his/her displacement according to MNA contract section 9.4 (f)(1).

Minimum Requirements

• Current Massachusetts RN License
• Evidence of Continuing Education.
• Med Surg experience preferred
• Current Telemetry experience or able to pass Telemetry Competency Exam within 90 days of beginning position.
• Current AHA BLS Certification.
• Utilizes appropriate time management skills. Communicates effectively.

Recommended Requirements

Pay Range

$37.14 - $82.22

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
