Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center is hiring an RN for the Medical/Surgical unit on the night shift. You will provide comprehensive nursing care for diverse postoperative and medical patients, following evidence-based practices and care plans.

The role emphasizes assessment, planning, and collaboration with the care team, with opportunities for professional development and contribution to safety initiatives. Sign-on bonus up to $10K may apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program required.
• Georgia RN licensure required at start date.
• 1 year hospital setting experience preferred for PRN positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through life cycle using nursing process.
• Perform assessments, plan and implement care, and evaluate outcomes.
• Coordinate patient care activities with the team and physicians.
• Oversee activities of ancillary and support staff.
• Identify teaching opportunities and resources for patients and families.
• Communicate issues to Charge Nurse or Clinical Manager as appropriate.
• Document patient care in the electronic medical record.
• Maintain standards of practice and professional accountability.
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives and education.
