Job summary

San Luis Valley Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg department. The RN will provide nursing care to all patients in the respective unit, demonstrating the ability to triage assess patients needs to ensure adequate care and nursing standards are met, observes and initiates appropriate nursing treatments, and reports symptoms and conditions of patients to medical staff.

• Associates degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current Colorado RN license.
• AHA and BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in Med/Surg unit.
• Triage, assess patient needs and escalate as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Document patient information and care provided.
• Assist with invasive procedures and support the care team.
• Observe and report symptoms and patient condition to physicians.
