Nursing Process/Plan of Care
• Provides comprehensive patient care by applying the nursing process systematically according to hospital policy.
• Communicates proactively with the healthcare team regarding patient care plans, condition changes, progress, discharge plans, and relevant information.
• Completes admissions using a multi-system assessment approach.
• Documents assessments, plans, interventions, and outcomes as per policy, utilizing clinical data effectively.
• Performs thorough physical assessments and reassesses patient conditions regularly.
• Recognizes and incorporates patient-specific needs, including pain management and supportive care.
• Adheres to infection control standards.
• Manages delivery of patient care responsibly and participates in discharge planning and multidisciplinary rounds.
• Assists with grieving and end-of-life care as appropriate.
Medical Surgical/Telemetry Nursing Skills
• Wound care and prevention
• Management of pressure ulcers and surgical wounds
• IV therapy initiation and maintenance
• Venous access device care
• Dialysis therapy support
• POCT and blood glucose monitoring
• Respiratory support and drainage tube management
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation and monitoring
• Equipment troubleshooting and safety
• Phlebotomy and specimen labeling
Qualifications
• BSN or BS/BA in Nursing
• Current RN license in Pennsylvania
• BCLS certification required; ACLS if applicable
• Professional certifications preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and computer skills
• Prior clinical experience preferred
Schedule
• 0.9 FTE, every other weekend, rotating shifts
